Special Stucco Finishes

Traditionally stucco is made from lime, sand and water. Modern formulations of stucco are made from Portland cement, sand and water.  Additives like acrylics or glass fibers may be added to improve the strength and workability of the stucco.

Stucco is applied wet and hardens to a very dense solid finish. Stucco may be simply decorative or it can perform a needed structural need.  Artistically, stucco may be as a coating for walls and ceilings and as a sculptural and artistic material for pure architectural purposes. Or stucco can be used to cover old or unappealing construction materials, for instance: metal, concrete, cinder block, adobe, brick or clay.

Just as important as the finish you choose is the craftsman who will be applying your new stucco surface finish.  Ori Avisar and his team of highly skilled painters can create a stucco finish that is truly special and strong enough to protect your home and last many years.
